Here’s a case of the pot calling the kettle black.
You might recall during the first Presidential debate the many times Hillary Clinton accused Donald Trump of things she is far more guilty of. She attacked the man when they discussed cyber security, ignoring the fact her illegal email server exposed Top Secret documents to hackers.
Ouch. Then there was the orchestrated attack by Lester Holt and Clinton over Trump’s tax returns. Lester kept pressuring Trump over why he hasn’t released the information yet, empowering Clinton to openly attack Trump by saying he doesn’t pay taxes. This coming from a woman who regularly funnels millions through a fraudulent “charity,” known as the Clinton Foundation.
Now complicit and corrupt New York Times has released an alleged return of Donald Trump’s, claiming that in 1995 the man cited losses that may have resulted in him not paying taxes in following years.
But what the Times isn’t telling you is that they too, have not paid taxes. For a while.
As Forbes noted at the time:
… for tax year 2014, The New York Times paid no taxes and got an income tax refund of $3.5 million even though they had a pre-tax profit of $29.9 million in 2014. In other words, their post-tax profit was higher than their pre-tax profit. The explanation in their 2014 annual report is, “The effective tax rate for 2014 was favorably affected by approximately $21.1 million for the reversal of reserves for uncertain tax positions due to the lapse of applicable statutes of limitations.” If you don’t think it took fancy accountants and tax lawyers to make that happen, read the statement again.
New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani defended Trump on Sunday, telling NBC News’ Meet the Press that Trump was a “genius” in business who was simply doing what the tax code allows every American to do by counting losses against tax liabilities, and bouncing back from failure to success.
That would include the New York Times — which, however, is still struggling.
The Times, like most liberal, outdated newspapers in America, is experiencing a slow and painful death. And that’s not just because the Internet is a far superior source for news and information. The kind of deceptive bias they have exhibited through this smear story has been going on for years, alienating honest Americans that just want the news.
How can anyone take a newspaper seriously, when they are so nakedly against a presidential candidate? Whatever happened to “just the facts”? Most people agree that the Times illegally obtained this tax information, putting their editors as risk of going to jail. It also coincides with an ongoing IRS scandal, where the much-hated agency has been targeting conservatives, illegally leaking their tax information.
The ongoing IRS scandal, in which the federal government targeted conservative organizations, involved several cases in which the agency illegally shared taxpayer information with other branches of government, and in one case leaked taxpayer information to a conservative organization’s political opponents.
So we have a dishonest newspaper releasing documents possibly given to them by a corrupt government agency. And they think this is going to hurt a candidate who is poised to reform our corrupt government system? The Times article only further proves we need massive change in our government.
The kind of change that, hmm, Donald Trump has been promising?
Geez, guys, it’s like you’re giving him the election.
