At first, Pat Smith was alone among the parents of Americans killed in Benghazi in speaking out about her son’s needless death. Now another grieving parent is echoing Smith’s criticism of Hillary Clinton, who was Secretary of State when the Benghazi massacre happened.
In a rare display of balance, cable giant CNN gave this father an opportunity to air his grievances, although not without interruptions. As Breitbart.com reports:
On Tuesday’s broadcast of “CNN Newsroom,” Charles Woods, whose son, Tyrone, was killed in the 2012 Benghazi terror attack, stated that Democratic presidential candidate former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton should apologize “for lying to the American families who lost their loved ones, as well as to the American public. She hasn’t apologized for that yet. In fact, she’s even doubled down and called us liars,” and is “directly responsible for the death of my son.”
He then stated, “I think that Hillary Clinton proved at Benghazi that she was incapable of protecting 35 of her own employees, so how could she possibly protect 330 million Americans in their home?” (…)
“[M]y son would still be alive if Mrs. Clinton was performing her job properly as Secretary of State.”
Woods went on to declare his support for Donald Trump. Asked repeatedly whether or not the GOP candidate should apologize for his war of words with the Khan family, Allen demurred, and reiterated that Hillary Clinton still needed to apologize to him, and the other Benghazi families.
