Obama is pushing hard to appoint a new Supreme Court Justice quickly, following the sudden death of Justice Antonin Scalia.
Most Republicans think he should wait. Many Democrats think he should go for it quickly. But one very important Democrat thinks it’s best for Presidents to wait when they’re at the end of their term.
C-SPAN uncovered a video that President Obama does not want voters to be reminded of. Back in 1992, when he was a Senator, Joe Biden encouraged then-President George H.W. Bush to wait until his successor came to appoint a new Justice.
Senator Joe Biden in 1992: “President Bush should consider following the practice of the majority of his predecessors and not, and not, name a nominee until after the November election is completed.” Full video here: http://cs.pn/1QxqVjF

If this video gets out, President Obama will be put in a very awkward position, arguing against his own Vice-President on a very important matter.
