Black Republican Senator Stands To Speak…What Happens Next STUNS Racist Democrats!

Two speeches about race in America were delivered on the Senate floor on Thursday, but only one went viral.

The first proved that so-called “progressives” still live in the past, while the second was delivered by a Republican lawmaker who lives in the present and looks to the future.

As commentator Derrick Wilburn observes:

I an odd twist of irony, the second speech provided partial validity of the first.

First, Florida Democrat Bill Nelson took the floor to declaim the usual liberal talking points, the same ones they’ve been using for 50 years: That America is a racist and bigoted nation.

In fact, Nelson added, “despite the passage of time,” America is just as horrible as it was in 1963 — that is, as the Civil Rights Movement was gearing up.

(Nelson neglected to mention that JFK and LBJ both had to be cajoled into supporting the Civil Rights Movement, contrary to the hagiographic movies Hollywood churns out about that era; he also left out how vigorously members of his own party — including one affiliated with the KKK — filibustered and otherwise opposed federal laws against discrimination. And of course, he’s somehow forgotten that Americans voted for a black president, twice…)

Anyway, soon it was Senator Tim Scott’s turn to speak. The South Carolina Republican, who also happens to be African-American, took this opportunity to read aloud some of the truly racist, bigoted hate mail he receives every day.

From self-described liberals and Democrats!

“If you sign up to be a black conservative, the chances are very high you will be attacked,” the Republican from South Carolina stated. “It comes with the territory, and I’ve had it for 20 years, two decades, but my friends and my staff, they’re not used to the level of animus that comes in from the liberal left…”

“I left out all the ones that used the n-word. I just felt like that would not be appropriate.”

Watch the entire incredible speech…

These attacks on Scott are not isolated incidents. Other high profile black conservatives are subjected to similar slanders each day, with probably the most famous incident being the confirmation hearings for Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, which he later described as “a high tech lynching.”

Again, those attacks were led by so-called liberals, many of whom were also African-American.

In the ultimate irony, Obama’s presidency only seems to have made the racial divide in America worse. Here’s hoping that somehow, Donald Trump can bring the country together on jobs and national security, so that race will take a back seat.
