Indiana Gov. Mike Pence just offered up some decent insight into why Hillary Clinton would not make a good president.
And believe it or not, it has far less to do with her many scandals, which range from Benghazi to private email servers to Clinton Foundation funding. Surprisingly, Pence doesn’t even mention those issues.
So what does he say?
Simply this, from Breitbart: Clinton, as well as her vice presidential pick, Virginia Sen. Tim Kaine, are not only negative and attack dogs, but they’re actually scorners of all-things-American.
“Donald Trump has given voice to the frustrations and aspirations of the American people like no leader in my lifetime since Ronald Reagan,” Pence said, to Breitbart. “He’s cast a vision to Make America Great Again.”
But the Clinton-Kaine team?
Well, they’re far more “insult-driven,” Pence said.
“Their campaign every day seems to be intent on calling a press conference and focusing on what Donald Trump said or tweeted in the last days or weeks,” Pence said, also referring to Clinton’s recent mocking of Trump supporters as the “deplorables” of the country.
Such characterizations of Trump and Trump supporters are not working well on the campaign trail for them, Pence went on.
“I mean, you cannot lead people you loathe,” he said, in Breitbart. “Hillary Clinton’s statements demeaning millions of Americans … I believe disqualifies her to lead this nation as president.”
