Anthony Weiner finally hit rock bottom in a New York court last Friday. The 52-year-old disgraced Congressman confessed to the crime of transferring illicit material to a 15-year-old girl.
Crying before the court, Weiner told the judge, ““I have a sickness, but I do not have an excuse. I knew this was as morally wrong as it was unlawful.”
The child predator’s crime carries a maximum sentence of ten years, but thanks to his plea deal he may only have to serve 21-27 months in prison.
Still, for a prominent Democrat to get any jail time at all is largely unheard of.
Weiner may be sorry now that he’s being brought to justice, but his so-called “sexting” addiction has been allowed to wreak havoc on women and girls for years. Weiner’s close ties to the Clinton’s all but guaranteed his protection from the law, and no one was ever willing to put him in check…not even his wife!
But now that appears to be changing. Abedin, a long time supporter of her husband, failed to make an appearance while Weiner was pleading guilty.
Huma Abedin finally filed for divorce from her husband on the same day he plead guilty to charges of sexting a minor.
Abedin, a former close aide to Hillary Clinton, filed an uncontested “Anonymous vs. Anonymous” action in Manhattan Supreme Court, meaning she is likely to hold custody of the couple’s young son.
In a grand display of revenge, the courthouse where Abedin filed her divorce papers was only a few blocks away from Weiner.
Past reports speculated that the couple were trying to make it work, but it seems Abedin was unable to face the shame of being married to a registered sex offender.
Abedin can no longer keep looking the other way like her boss Hillary does.
It’s ironic, isn’t it? Democrats love to talk about how they’re the “Party for women”, but the behavior of their men proves they are anything but. There’s a reason why all of the major political sex scandals of the past century have involved a Democrat.
FDR, JFK, Bill Clinton and Anthony Weiner were all so drunk on their own power that they assumed they could get away with treating women any way they wanted to.
The only reason Weiner is being punished at all is because his conquest happened to be under 18. But the fact that he will be going to jail is somewhat encouraging.
If a powerful Democrat like Weiner can be thrown in prison, maybe Hillary can too!
