The fighting in the Syria is becoming a bigger mess than anyone would have envisioned. Once a simple conflict within the nation’s borders, it has erupted into war that might engulf the entire world.
The terrible fighting between the president’s forces and ISIS-back rebels have forced millions of refugees into Europe. The massive flux of migrants into countries like Germany have caused nothing short of an international crisis, as Europe suffers from terrorism and Muslim-inspired persecution.
And that’s even to discuss Russia and America’s interests in the war.
We are hearing more and more about Russia getting involved in the fighting. According to some reports, Russia backs the president in his fight to reclaim his land. While the U.S. and her allies also work to defeat the rebels, Russia is making some startling claims.
From The Sun:
THOUSANDS of ISIS fighters are to be given safe passage out of Iraq to fight in Syria, Russian military leaders claim.
The jihadi army – and their families – will allegedly be let back in to Syria to battle president Bashar al-Assad and his Russian allies.
The outrageous claims comes as Britain and the US face criticism for failing to stop Assad’s brutal bombing of civilians in the Syrian city of Aleppo.
Nearly a thousand US and British troops have been sent to retake Mosul – the largest city under ISIS control.
The RAF and US Air Force are on standby to support any ground attack with major air strikes.
The fighting in Syria has created tension between America and Russia, after Russian forces are getting increasingly involved in the conflict. The U.S. has condemned President Assad’s bombing of civilians in Aleppo, which has led some to believe we are switching sides.
It’s a quagmire, to say the least. One that would never have started, had Obama and Hillary Clinton handled withdrawing from Iraq better. The chaos in the Middle East is largely their fault, for not providing vital support when it was needed.
Now we are pitted in a struggle that is drawing our fair-weathered ally Russia in the mix. If not handled properly, we could be looking at a much greater conflict.
