Hillary Clinton’s in hot water for her email server scandal – again – thanks to the bombshell drop from FBI director James Comey, who reopened the investigation into her use of the system in her home while working as secretary of State.
And while Democrats are panicking, wondering what messages the emails on disgraced former congressman Anthony Weiner’s computer might reveal – and whether communications to and from Huma Abedin will prove fateful to Clinton’s campaign – one leftist senator in particular has issued some sharp rebukes against Comey.
Who is he?
None other than Harry Reid, Nevada’s leading Democrat.
Reid, who’s been silent on the media front for a long time now, came out swinging against Comey – but strangely enough, he twisted the new email scandal away from Clinton’s camp and right into Donald Trump’s.
Yes I’m Right has the story: “Reid said that Comey has ‘explosive evidence’ about Trump’s ties to Russia. You can’t make this up people.”
Honestly, can the senator be any more deceptive?
Specifically, Reid said that he’s aware of the FBI’s possible possession of “explosive information about close ties and coordination between Donald Trump, his top advisers and the Russian government – a foreign interest openly hostile to the United States, which Trump praises at every opportunity. I wrote to you months ago calling for this information to be released to the public … and yet you continue to resist calls to inform the public of this critical information,” according to the news blog.
Well, Rep. Trey Gowdy took to national television on Fox News and blasted Reid back to reality.
Meanwhile, others in the media, from cable television to bloggers, jumped aboard Gowdy’s reality train to help bring Reid back to planet Earth.
“Here’s the passive problem with that,” Yes I’m Right wrote. “Reid magically uses another, far more serious allegation about Hillary Clinton to then deflect and turn it on Trump with what is nothing more than speculation? This is the liberal mind at work folks.”
