Since he announced his candidacy for President last summer, Donald Trump has been met with unending resistance.
Each week we hear about a new attack and each week Trump overcomes it. Both the left and established Republicans are threatened by the damage he can do to the status quo.
Despite their attacks, he defeated 16 rivals and garnered over 10 million primary votes.
The latest attack from the left is aimed at the entire GOP. Liberal pundits are claiming the GOP is falling apart, with little to no evidence to back their claim.
They insist that because a failed candidate like Mitt Romney refuses to give his endorsement to Trump, the entire campaign is doomed. Yeah, keep hitting that drum.
But the reality is the left is running scared. The only strategy they have left is to invent problems for the GOP. We talked about the delusional professor who has claimed “victory” in the imagined culture wars.
But this kind of make-believe has extended to other corners of the liberal world. The fact remains the real person falling apart is Hillary Clinton.
From New York Post:
A new Quinnipiac poll tells the inconvenient truth. Trump and Hillary Clinton are tied in each of the three key swing states of Ohio, Pennsylvania and Florida.
The breakdown in Florida reveals how truly close the race is. As Politico puts it, Clinton has a 13-point advantage among women, 48 percent to 35 percent, while Trump’s lead among men is also 13 points, 49 percent to 36 percent. Each gets 39 percent of independent voters, while Trump wins big among whites, and Clinton wins big among nonwhites. The candidates have identical net negative approvals of minus 20 points, 37 percent to 57 percent.
Keep in mind, these are numbers for a man the establishment said had NO chance at winning the election. The fact that Clinton, someone in the political world for over 3 decades, was first lady, Senator, and Secretary of State, is barely keeping it together against a newcomer, is shocking and hilarious. Trump hasn’t even begun going after Hillary in his campaign. What will those numbers look like once he is officially the GOP nominee?
Meanwhile Clinton has to run a campaign while juggling criminal investigations aimed at her and her cronies. How can a legitimate candidate for President survive the onslaught that she’s facing?
Let’s not forget her shameful tract record as Secretary of State. Also her suspicious dealings with figures exposed by the Panama Papers. Not to mention the investigation into her criminal use of a private email server. Then there’s her response to Benghazi, or her destructive influence over sovereign nations like Haiti.
The list is as long as my arm. These problems aren’t going to go away anytime soon. Just one of these issues is enough to sink a candidate.
So why is the left claiming the GOP is done? Looks like their poster child is barely keeping her head above water.
