Is this the lowest, trashiest move yet by Team Hillary? That’s a tough record to break, but it looks like the Democrats have managed to outdo themselves.
Remember when liberals berated President George W. Bush for the rest of his administration because he supposedly “didn’t care” about those devastated by Hurricane Katrina? Well, on the subject of “not caring,” here comes Hillary Clinton:
Hillary Clinton wants to take advantage of voters looking for information about Hurricane Matthew, the Category 4 storm currently threatening Florida.
Politico reports that the Clinton campaign will spend $63,000 to reach Weather Channel viewers there for five days beginning on Thursday. That was confirmed by the Clinton campaign. (…)
“Evacuate, Evacuate, Evacuate,” Florida governor Rick Scott said, adding that, “this storm will kill you. Time is running out.”
It would be funny if it weren’t so tragic and tone deaf: The Clinton campaign spending money to urge Floridians to vote for her, using the one channel she knows they’ll all be tuned to for life-saving information.
It would serve her right if nobody saw her commercials because they’d already evacuated. Maybe a few voters will notice them, but it’s possible they may not have the effect the Democrats hope for. Many will no doubt view them as a crass and cynical attempt to tout their candidate, who is far from harm’s way and can’t be bothered doing anything to help them in practical terms.
Stay classy, Hillary!
