Well, get ready for yet the latest – in what’s turning out to be a long line – of deceptions put forth by Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton.
During a congressional hearing earlier this week, FBI director James Comey let slip something that’s not going to help Clinton out with her polls – particularly the ones the paint her as dishonest – any time soon.
As Real Clear Politics reported: “FBI director James Comey told the House Oversight Committee that he never said Hillary Clinton was telling the truth about her emails.”
Comey further said that it’s not the FBI’s job to decide if someone was actually telling the truth or not, Real Clear Politics reported.
The exchange between a congressman and COmey went like this:
“A few months ago,” one congressman said, Real Clear Politics reported, “Hillary Clinton, in talking about her emails, claimed that you said, and I quote, ‘My answers were truthful.’ PolitiFact, by the way, gave this claim a ‘pants on fire’ rating.” Did you say that she was telling the truth with respect to her email claims?”
And Comey came right back with a blunt shocker – though those who follow politics and know of Clinton’s many scandals, cover-ups and deceptions, it wasn’t that much of a shocker.
He said, Real Clear Politics reported: “I did not. I’d never say that about any body. Our business is never to decide whether someone is – whether we believe someone – our business is always to decide what evidence do we have that would convince us not to believe that person. It’s an odd way to look at the world, but it’s how investigators look at the world.”
