The FBI, or the Federal Bureau of Investigation, is the Federal police, tasked with finding out and recommending prosecution for those who have broken our nation’s laws. Americans are getting numb to the idea that someone is being investigated by the FBI. Imagine if you were—it’s a very serious deal! Now imagine being investigated more than once—simultaneously! Maybe now you’re starting to feel how Hillary does, even though she thinks she’s above the law and can get away with anything.
Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign seems to be taking on a gloom and doom tone of late—and a couple of new reports put out by two of the country’s largest media outlets certainly aren’t helping on that score.
Basically, both outlets’ messages were the same: that the FBI has been “aggressively investigating” the Clinton Foundation for roughly a year.
And then came another, from the Wall Street Journal, about how the “secret recordings” have “fueled” the agency’s look at the Clinton Foundation for criminal misdeeds. And such reports are all being played against the backdrop of the ongoing, steady-as-a-drumbeat bombshells from WikiLeaks about Clinton’s email server scandal.
Here’s the first major media outlet earlier this week to relay the bad news for Clinton. From Pamela Brown, CNN’s Justice Department correspondent: “My colleague Evan Perez and I have spoken to more than a dozen officials and agents and have learned that agents in the FBI wanted to aggressively investigate the Clinton Foundation several months ago.”
Then came the second, from Fox News’ Bret Baier, who said similarly.
Baier’s words, according to Breitbart: “Two separate sources with intimate knowledge of the FBI investigations into the Clinton emails and the Clinton Foundation [say] the investigation into the Clinton Foundation, looking into possible pay-for-play interaction between Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and the Foundation has been going on for more than a year led by the White Collar Crime Division, Public Corruption Branch of the Criminal Investigative Division of the FBI.”
And along came the third spider, the Wall Street Journal, and sat down beside Clinton.
The headline read: “Secret Recordings Fueled FBI Fued in Clinton Probe.”
Does Clinton have a chance to win next Tuesday, with all this negative media coverage?
“Most damning for the Clintons,” Breitbart reported, “is the revelation that according to the Wall Street Journal report, even FBI deputy director Andrew McCade confirmed that the FBI investigation into the Clinton Foundation was a ‘validly predicated investigation’ to some people at the Justice Department who tried to shut down the case.”
To answer the question, then: Yes, somehow she does. But if she wins, Clinton will go down in history as the first president to take office under such a heavy veil of federal investigation.
