The 2016 Election was one wild ride, and every American can attest to that. It was tough being a Trump backer, seeing all the lousy, twisted, lying polls coming out from the mainstream media. We all held onto hope, though, that the numbers coming out from reputable pollsters like Rasmussen Reports and the LA Times, which showed Trump with the edge would turn out to be true. The final poll showed Trump escaping orbit and winning outside the margin of error, and—you know what?—they were exactly right.
Now a new ride begins. The government has been put back in the hands of the American people. The man in the White House has pledged to represent the people, and despite the mainstream media’s stark portrayal of the liberal snowflake reaction to President Trump, Donald has in fact wasted no time to get his people appointed and his agenda set into motion.
So the presidential approval poll is going to be extremely important for our country. We are weighing in, telling Trump what kind of job he is doing and whether he is following through with his promises.
And, from the reputable Rasmussen, the first numbers in are very promising:
The latest figures include 42% who Strongly Approve of the way Trump is performing and 33% who Strongly Disapprove. This gives him a Presidential Approval Index rating of +9.
Thirty-eight percent (38%) of voters think the country is heading in the right direction, the highest level of confidence in four years. It’s important to note, though, that this survey wrapped up the night before Trump’s inauguration.
UPDATE: January 26 approval rating has been released, and Trump has risen even higher! His Approval Index rating is now +13, with an overall approval of 59%.
The highest in FOUR years! No one’s sharing that on the nightly news! It’s a new morning in America, because finally we have a President in Donald Trump who will listen to what the people want and act on their behalf, not trying to enrich himself off the backs of hardworking Americans.
No one is surprised to see that this country is still divided over Trump’s actions, but he has had only a few days to display the work he is doing for the people. Some liberals will never see it his way, no matter how much their freedom or their take-home pay increases, but we can expect the trend-line to look far different than the media is portraying him.
Voters overwhelmingly followed Trump’s first day in office, but Republicans were a lot happier with it than others were. Some media commentators were highly critical of Trump’s use of the phrase “America First” in his inaugural address to describe his trade and foreign policy agenda, but most voters continue to feel the new commander in chief is on the right track.
Why would Americans be excited about Trump saying “America First”? Oh, I don’t know, maybe because we have had a president for the last 8 years who consistently put America last on the world stage and in terms of safety prosperity. Even skeptical Americans are willing to cheer a President who takes swift and decisive action to make the country he leads a great one to live and work in. One that stands up for its cops and border agents and puts law-abiding citizens before illegals who feed off the welfare system and refuse to immigrate.
Heck, even California is starting to come along! Trump promised to unify our country around loyalty for our country, and this seems to be a great first step in securing a unified, and stronger, America.
What do you think: Are presidential polls important? Can they be trusted? Will Trump’s numbers go up or down as he does the necessary work, even when it isn’t popular according to the media?
