Donald Trump’s pick for White House strategist and counsel Steven Bannon has been slammed as an anti-Semite in the mainstream press, and he’s supposed to now slink away in cowering shame – right?
That’s the scenario the left would like to be believed, at least. But wait a minute, what’s that – backlash? And where’s it coming from – the Jewish community?
Could it be the mainstream media and far-left is crying over a lie, trying to drum up opposition to the Trump administration by creating false narratives that fuel emotionally charged protests?
Why yes, it very well could be. Take a look at this, from none other than the president of the American Freedom Defense Initiative, Pamela Geller – who also happens to be Jewish.
“[T]he lies, smears and defamation of Bannon have begun,” she wrote, in a piece for Breitbart, the news site Bannon formerly led. “As the enemedia bombards us with claims that Bannon is a white supremacist and an anti-Semite, I am, as a Jew and a proud Zionist, honored to stand up for Steve Bannon.”
Geller went on to write how she’s worked with Bannon for years, and that he often contacted her several times a week to write for his Breitbart site.
At the same time, she wrote this: “Longtime readers who are deeply familiar with my work know that I am a fiercely proud Jew and unapologetic Zionist.”
Hmm, methinks the media might be on a witchhunt. Here’s the knockout punch, again from Geller.
“Now the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) is claiming that he is anti-Semitic? What? He partnered with Andrew Breitbart — a Jew. He partnered with Larry Solov, another Jew, after Breitbart died. He worked with me — a Jew. He gave proud and fierce Zionists such as Aaron Klein a platform to speak and advance the cause of the Jewish people and the Jewish state. Breitbart Jerusalem was launched under Bannon’s tenure with the Breitbart organization,” she wrote.
Ouch. That’s the sound of the far left taking blow after blow from a round delivery of Truth. Note to ADL and mainstream media: Next time, remember, facts matter.
