Donald Trump took a lot of flak for saying that Obama and Hillary Clinton had “founded” the terrorist group ISIS, but the following story reveals how the U.S. government really does have a sickening role in strengthening our enemies.
The news just reported is almost too crazy to believe, but consider that America, under a Democrat president, has been raising record amounts of taxes to redistribute to others.
Then consider his recent “payment plan” to Iran that first amounted to $400 million, then $1.7 billion, then ballooned to astronomical amounts. Suddenly what Breitbart just reported doesn’t sound so unbelievable—but it is still sickening, and possibly treasonous:
“Corruption undermined the U.S. mission in Afghanistan by fueling grievances against the Afghan government and channeling material support to the insurgency,” noted the congressionally-appointed Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction (SIGAR) John Sopko in a 150-page report released last week, adding, “U.S. money was flowing to the insurgency via corruption.”
The United States contributed to the growth of corruption by injecting tens of billions of [U.S. taxpayer] dollars into the Afghan economy, using flawed oversight and contracting practices, and partnering with malign powerbrokers [including drug traffickers, arms smugglers, human rights abusers, rapists, and other criminals].
Some of the U.S. taxpayer funds were siphoned off to fund the insurgents fighting the U.S.-led coalition, namely the Taliban, the Haqqani Network, and others, through billions of dollar spent on U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) contracts.
Did you know you’ve been sending money to the Taliban? You know, the Islamic extremists America is supposed to be at war with? It sounds crazy, but then again, with Obama in the White House, it really doesn’t come as a surprise.
According to the report, some experts feel that “corruption may present a bigger or at least equal threat to the U.S. mission in Afghanistan than terrorism.”
Fifteen years after 9/11, the United States is still fighting the Taliban, and they are stronger than ever. Among other things, “Afghan opium production and harvesting has grown at least 20-fold since the U.S. invasion,” according to this report.
Since America’s military is the best in the world, the blame for this fiasco surely lies elsewhere. Don’t look to a “President Hillary” to do much to turn the situation around.
