By now, we’ve seen so many instances of liberal hypocrisy that it seems like it just can’t get any more blatant. The left really is shameless when it comes to preaching one thing in public, lecturing us “little people” about ethics — but refusing to live up to their own standards.
However, this week served up one of the biggest examples in a long time. The New York Times clearly thought it had unleashed a secret weapon against Donald Trump when they (illegally) published tax returns showing he’d taken a (legal) write off 20 years ago. Of course, Hillary and her cheerleaders went ballistic, sharing this “news” everywhere. But there was one problem—or, more accurately, two…

Well this is a little awkward. With the leaked 1995 Trump tax returns ‘scandal’ focused on the billionaire’s yuuge ‘net operating loss’ and how it might have ‘legally’ enabled him to pay no taxes for years, we now discover none other than Hillary Rodham Clinton utilized a $700,000 ‘loss’ to avoid paying some taxes in 2015. While not on the scale of Trump’s business “operating loss”, Hillary Clinton – like many ‘wealthy’ individuals is taking advantage of a legal scheme to use historical losses to avoid paying current taxes. (…)
Finally, as we noted previously, the NYT itself is also perfectly happy to take advantage of the US tax [code] to minimize the amount of money it pays to the government: in 2014 the company got a tax refund of $3.6 million despite having a $29.9 million pretax profit…
It could be called “incredible,” except that it isn’t. Do Hillary Clinton and the Times really believe we still live in a universe where none of their unflattering information will be exposed and passed around? These elites really are out of touch, and completely tone deaf in their tiresome attacks on Trump. Twenty year old “news”? What next?
