Hillary Clinton’s not-so-carefully disguised attempt to paint herself as the most pro-woman presidential candidate ever appears to be crumbling.
Not only have certain past ghosts from Bill Clinton’s sexual escapades’ trail risen in recent days, to speak of the former president’s alleged abuse and attacks but also of his wife’s alleged cover-ups for him.
But now this, from Linda Tripp, a former White House staffer who worked for the ex-president back in the 1990s – a very public underscore of just how scandalous both Clintons truly are.
“Tripp recently took part in a lengthy interview with Breitbart reporter Aaron Klein, during which she recalled many of the various Clinton scandals that unsurprisingly seemed to foreshadow some of the Clinton’s more recent scandalous behavior,” the Conservative Tribune wrote.
And the talk turned to more than sexual dalliances.
“She opened up about what she had seen regarding the aftermath of Vince Foster’s death, as well as Travelgate, Filegate and the Whitewater scandal, with one common theme seemingly connecting them all together – a lax attitude on the part of the Clintons regarding classified information and security issues,” the Conservative Tribune said.
The revelations could prove a death knell for Clinton’s campaign; Republican contender Donald Trump’s biggest draw with voters is his stance on national security and his vow to crack down on border controls.
Tripp’s recollection of the Clinton years in the White House was of a husband-wife team who cared little for national security, insofar as their handling of classified documents showed.
In her words: “[They had a] cavalier, loosey-goosey, this isn’t important, don’t be a prude” attitude toward the handling of classified materials, she said, during the interview.
“There was sort of a disregard for any of the rules,” Tripp went on, Conservative Tribune reported. “They certainly didn’t apply to them. And that was startling.”
