Liberal Court Mandates Socialist Healthcare – Now A 10-Month-Old Boy Pays Dearly For It

Is there anything a parent wouldn’t do for their children? Hardly. They’d go to hell and back to make sure their kids are safe, happy, and especially, healthy.

Which is why an English couple has worked so hard so their baby can come to the U.S. for life-saving treatment. They’ve even raised the cash to do so.

There’s just one problem: their Socialist government wants the baby to die.

From Louder with Crowder:

The parents of terminally-ill baby Charlie Gard are ‘utterly distraught’ and facing fresh heartbreak after losing their final appeal in the European Court of Human Rights.

Chris Gard, 32, and Connie Yates, 31, wanted to take their 10-month-old son – who suffers from a rare genetic condition and has brain damage – to the US to undergo a therapy trial.

Doctors at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children in London, where Charlie is being cared for, said they wanted him to be able to ‘die with dignity’.

But the couple, from Bedfont, west London, raised almost £1.4million so they could take their son to America but a series of courts ruled in favour of the British doctors.

Ahem, THIS is why we don’t want government healthcare in America! Imagine a cold, uncaring court making decisions about your family.

These parents can go to America and receive life-saving treatment for their child. Yet they are held back (despite raising the money) because this court wants the child to die.

This is what happens when you sacrifice your freedom for some free stuff. When the government controls the purse strings for your health care, they can decide if you even get health care.

That includes little babies that needs life-saving treatment.

But if you’re shocked, don’t be. This scenario happens all the time in Europe. It’s one of the reasons why many people sneak over to America for treatment, in order to avoid the long wait times in their home country. Even after waiting years for needed treatment, they might be denied, because their government says so.

Yes, health care can be expensive. And yes, health insurance companies can be greedy and difficult. But when we give the government the final say, we lose our choice in the matter. Situations like this will happen all the time, if we let the government run our lives.

Let this be a wake up call to all of us.
