This has got to be the ultimate punchline:
For eight years, the left told us that George W. Bush was the worst president in history. Then they insisted that Barack Obama was not only the smartest president, but the most beloved by far.
Obviously, Obama agrees with this assesment, declaring recently that if he’d been legally able to run for a third time, he would have defeated Trump easily.
Unfortunately, the numbers don’t lie:
According to a recent Pew poll, Obama’s approval rating is high for Democrats (as to be expected) but is even worse with Republicans than Bush’s rating with Democrats when he was in office.
Of course, as far as Democrats are concerned, the opinions of Republicans don’t matter. They’re all a bunch of “racists” and “hillbillies,” remember?
Of course, these numbers won’t matter much when Trump is sworn in. Americans of all stripes will probably be bowled over by his “America first” programs (even if they’ll never admit that to a pollster.
