The more we look at Obama’s influence on our country, the more we realize how much damage he caused.
All the promise and excitement in 2008 over electing the first black President, a man who promised hope and change after the Bush years, all came to nothing.
Instead we had eight years of a virtual dictator, who violated our Constitution and laws to push his policies.
I doubt many of the people who voted for Obama would have approved of his radical transgender policy, or even his flip over same-sex marriage.
I doubt they wanted him to infringe on people’s First Amendment religious rights, or break the law to protect criminal aliens.
Yet time and again we see that his biggest disaster, the one that has harmed American irrevocably, has been Obamacare. We already know how it hurt our economy, caused people to lose coverage, and put a massive burden on tax payers.
Now we’re learning that it may have led to many more deaths.
From Daily Wire:
Over at the Federalist, Brian Frankie has done a bang-up job looking at American mortality rates in the wake of ObamaCare’s passage in 2010. What he found is that the number of premature deaths has actually increased over the last few years…
What happens when we calculate the death rate after excluding all external causes of morbidity (ICD-10 codes for deaths caused by drugs, alcohol, assault, suicide, and accidents — in short, anything that is not due to an internal illness)?
For the decade 2004-2013, the death rate is 247.4 people per 100,000 population. It is more stable than the all-cause death rate, with a low of 244.7, a high of 249.9, and a standard deviation of 1.7.
With Obamacare extending insurance to 15 million more people, this death rate should fall to 238 per 100,000. The 2014-15 data show the actual reported death rate among U.S. adults, excluding external causes, is … 252.9.
There are a variety of reasons for this surprising spike in deaths—mostly attributed to the changes made by the Affordable Care Act.
A part of it was caused by patients losing their doctors. The new rules and changes made by Obamacare forced people to find new doctors that would accept their terrible coverage. This affected the long-term care of patients and even led to people being reluctant to seek care.
The shocking rise in deductibles and the spike in health care costs that were brought on by the shoddy program also contributed to increased deaths.
People could not afford to go to the doctor thanks to their deductibles, plus the cost of medicine was prohibitively high, forcing the denial of medicine to people in need.
Of course, in the end Obamacare resulted in fewer options at higher costs. That most certainly led to more people lacking needed care that would have saved their lives.
Is it any wonder that deaths increased after this terrible law was passed?
The only option we have now is to eradicate this program. Families, elderly, and children are dependent on valuable health care, yet Obamacare makes it impossible for them to receive coverage.
How many more unnecessary deaths until it’s repealed?
