We just found out what Trump supporters across America are saying—and it’s not what we expected! Read more below to find out how many are regretting their vote after the first months of a Trump presidency.
Do you realize that we were all a part of history when we voted in 2016?
And I don’t mean that b-s kind of history the media claimed happened when Barack Obama won. Sure, he was the first African-American president, but what good did he accomplish in his eight years?
We have a terrible health care system we are struggling to repeal and racial divides worse than before the 1960’s.
The moment Donald Trump entered the presidential race, things were about to change. This no-nonsense, unapologetic business leader turned every rule in the book about elections on its head.
He had less money than Clinton, was hated by the media, and refused to act or talk like a typical politician. Yet he stunned the world by destroying his opponent in an electoral landslide.
Just about every poll was wrong. And even newscasters on Fox News were stunned to silence when on election night, Donald Trump was announced the winner. No one saw it coming (uh, except for the millions of Americans that rallied behind him).
Since the election the presidency of Donald Trump defies expectations and history. During the transition process, his supporters stayed engaged and enthusiastic. Usually after the election, people forget what happened and return to their lives.
But since Trump’s win, we’ve seen his supporters continue to watch his actions and even weigh in on what’s going on.
Remember, at one point, it looked like Trump was going to offer the position of Secretary of State to anti-Trumper. Mitt Romney. Trump supporters weren’t having any of that. Their outcry online was so fierce, KellyAnn Conway had to acknowledge it. Mitt was kicked to the curb.
Now that Trump is settling into the White House, with big wins already under his belt, it’s interesting to see the reaction from supporters like you.
As it turns out, we don’t regret backing this horse one bit.
From The Daily Wire:
While Donald Trump’s approval numbers have been tracking well behind other presidents at this stage of his presidency, a recent poll found that there is “virtually no regret” among Trump voters for their decision in the 2016 election.
A Mood of the Nation poll from Penn State’s McCourtney Institute of Democracy released just two months after Trump took office found that less than four percent of Trump voters regretted their vote. Not only was there almost zero defections among the Trump base, Penn State’s Michael Berkaman and Eric Plutzer found that most of his voters remained “not only intact but enthusiastic and energized.”
The survey asked 339 Trump voters if they would have done something different in November after having seen President Trump in action. Only 12 said they would, a total that amounts to just 3.5 percent. Of those 12, only three (less than 1 percent) said they would have voted for Hillary Clinton.
“For Trump’s supporters, any news reports that his first weeks as president have been rocky, unpresidential or worse have hardly mattered. There is virtually no regret,” Berkman and Plutzer wrote.
An overwhelming majority of the generally satisfied Trump voters also didn’t feel that he needed to change his behavior to be more “presidential.”
Remember, it was Trump’s “unpresidential” demeanor that won him the election. His refusal to play games with insiders or to placate the bloated and egotistical media helped him win the favor of millions of Americans.
Today the biased media continues to try to assassination his character, with baseless claims and ongoing fake news. Yet with every fraudulent story they publish, the American people continue to rally behind their president.
Moving forward, it is very likely Trump will continue to work to fulfill his campaign promises and the media will continue to destroy themselves with their dishonest coverage. Who is going to win out in the end?
If they continue on this path, the left will ensure a second term for Trump. His supporters are watching what transpires each day eagerly, undaunted by the empty and pathetic attacks from the left.
With each day we are seeing the decline of radical progressivism and social justice. With each day we learn of new wins for the American people.
So why should supporters ever regret their choice?
