The Democrats have been taking the African-American vote for granted since the 1960s. However, it’s possible that relationship is finally coming to an end.
It is now more commonplace than ever to hear ordinary people from that community, as well as their leaders, ask the Democrats, “What have you done for me lately?” And they don’t seem to like the answer.
As the Conservative Tribune reports, there is hard evidence that the Democrat’s hold on African-Americans is loosening:
Cornell Belcher, a former pollster for the Democrat National Committee, recently organized focus groups of black voters in the key states of Ohio and Florida, and the results were dismal for Clinton.
In Ohio and Florida, Belcher’s July polls found that Clinton was underperforming 2012 candidate Barack Obama by 10 and 12 percent, respectively, among black voters.
A black millennial voter in Florida said he didn’t think that being black was reason enough to be “scared” of a Trump administration.
“I don’t understand why I should be more scared than anybody else,” he said.
Other focus group attendees echoed those comments. While none of them sounded that enthusiastic about Trump, their poor image of Hillary Clinton and the Democrats was clear. The liberal media’s portrayal of Donald Trump as a racist aren’t as successful as they had hoped.
