Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky has been keeping a low profile lately, but the outspoken libertarian is back in the spotlight, and Hillary & Co. won’t be happy about it.
Paul was a guest on Fox News’ top rated show “The Factor” and his opinion about Clinton’s crimes and misdeanors was very clear and very blunt: She “should be in prison”:
Paul told Eric Bolling that the former First Lady should face indictment both for the secrets she exposed using a private email server and for “pay to play allegations connected to the Clinton Foundation. (…)
Turning to the new Clinton Foundation allegations, Paul recalled that Bill Clinton got $750,000 from a bank that was negotiating the purchase of a North American uranium company. The deal needed to be approved by [Hillary] Clinton’s State Department.
“I think it’s indictable,” Paul continued. “I think she should be in prison for it. But short of that, I think every voter needs to know that the Clintons are in it for themselves, they’re in it to make money and they will make hundreds of millions of dollars if she gets into the White House because they will sell themselves to the highest bidder.”
Senator Paul has never presented himself in public as a particular fan of Donald Trump, but this appearance indicates that he agrees in large part with what Trump has been saying about Clinton all along.
The question is: Is it too late to matter? Clinton is the official Democratic nominee at this point. What are the chance that anyone would dare pursue charges against her when the FBI itself has already backed down?
