Flabbergasted by Donald Trump’s win, the left is scratching and clawing for any reason to justify how their candidate Hillary Clinton could go down in such fiery flames against a man they pitched as racist, bigoted and sexist.
It’s not a pretty picture. Some of the far-left camp has taken to the streets, smashing cars, defacing properties, blocking traffic and clashing with police, to shed light on their angst and protest the racism.
Lately, however, another thought has crept into discussions about why Trump won, and it’s one that points to the media – a so-called fake media – that supposedly drove Americans en masse and in a state of uneducated stupor to the polls to pull levers for the billionaire businessman.
In other words, members of the media and elite political world are trying to impose that news sites, operated by non-news people, were planting lies and blasting propaganda.
Right. But as Zero Hedge noted: While a real fake news operation is spreading across America, it’s hardly the one liberals are claiming.
It’s the one called ABC, and Bloomberg, and CBS and MSNBC, and CNN and the Huffington Post, and the New York Times and Politico, and the Guardian and the Hill. And it’s the one that’s roped in dozens of reporters — so-called journalists — who actually colluded with the Clinton campaign to bring forth favorable coverage.
How do we know this?
In a word: WikiLeaks. As Julian Assange’s organization leaked in recent weeks, emails and messages between mainstream news outlets and members of Clinton’s team show an outright partnership.
As Ron Paul blasted in an email, beneath photos of the biased culprits in mainstream news organizations: “REVEALED: The Real Fake News List.”
And he included a handy link to his web page, Ron Paul Liberty Report, that shows the damning WikiLeaks findings.
“These are the news sources that told us ‘if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor,'” Zero Hedge reported. “They told us that Hillary Clinton had a 98 percent [chance] of winning the election. They tell us in a never-ending loop that ‘The economy is in great shape!’ This is the real Fake News List (and it’s sourced).”
Zero Hedge, a popular blog of political and economic news that is a go-to for conservatives and others seeking to sift through the skewed financial statistics of the left and of government, was one of the sites listed by liberals as “fake” and to be avoided at all costs.
