America was shocked yesterday when FBI Director James Comey announced their findings in the criminal investigation of Hillary Clinton’s private email server.
While he did make it clear that she violated the law, lied about transmitting classified emails, and called her “extremely careless,” he refused to recommend charges.
Anyone outside of Hillary’s comfy position would already be behind bars. Pundits are wondering how and why Comey delivered such a pathetically soft response to a national threat. Hillary jeopardized the safety of the United States, lied under oath, and deleted thousands of emails that could implicate her on a number of crimes. And the FBI does nothing.
If you’re mad right now, good. That’s the appropriate response.
From Conservative Tribune:
Shortly after the FBI announced that its would not be recommending criminal charges for Clinton’s “extremely careless” mishandling of classified documents, Speaker of the House Paul Ryan released a statement signifying his own displeasure with the decision.
“While I respect the law enforcement professionals at the FBI, this announcement defies explanation,” the speaker declared. “No one should be above the law.”
“But based upon the director’s own statement, it appears damage is being done to the rule of law,” he continued. “Declining to prosecute Secretary Clinton for recklessly mishandling and transmitting national security information will set a terrible precedent.”
It seems we have two sets of laws, one for the American people and one for rich politicians. This should come as no surprise, though. Bill Clinton broke a litany of laws as president, lied under oath about his sexual misconduct, and got off scot free. Oh course his vile wife would get the same treatment.
Ryan’s comments criticize the FBI’s process and questions how they came to their conclusion, but he refused to acknowledge the gross incompetence of Hillary Clinton. He preferred to focus all his attention on the FBI. Now why would that be? Perhaps as an established politician he is too afraid to attack Hillary. Maybe he’s hedging his bets on whether or not she’ll be president, hoping the FBI would have done his dirty work for him.
Thank goodness we have a GOP presidential candidate unafraid to call Hillary what she really is: a liar.
