Sanctuary Cities Just Got A $32 Million Surprise Straight From The President

President Trump has vowed to end illegal immigration. And he’s doing it.

One of the biggest problems are cities that flagrantly break our federal government’s laws.

They protect illegals, often at the detriment to Americans. Well Jeff Sessions just acted on President Trump’s behalf, and these sanctuaries are in for a massive wake-up call.

From Louder With Crowder:

Clearly they’re not fans of ICE — but when it comes to federal funding, they gobble it up. So Jeff Sessions and his DOJ pals have an idea in store. All those monies these sanctuary cities get from the government? Say goodbye to it, maybe.

“The Department of Justice announced sanctuary jurisdictions will lose access to certain federal law enforcement grants in 2017 if they prohibit officials from communicating with Immigration and Customs Enforcement, if they block ICE from interviewing jail inmates, or if they fail to notify ICE of the pending release of criminal aliens ICE is seeking to deport.”

This isn’t the first time Jeff Sessions has threatened to take precious greenery from sanctuary cities. Looks like he’s going to be delivering on all those previous warnings.

Those top four grant-getters are New York City, Cook Country, Illinois (Chicago), Los Angeles, and Philadelphia. Big sanctuary zones. They are most likely going to lose all that precious federal money, if they continue to undermine Trump’s administration.

Here’s more details on the dough currently flowing to sanctuary cities that Jeff Sessions is threatening to cut off. From The Daily Signal:

Under the new rules announced by Attorney General Jeff Sessions, these four top grant-getters (New York City; Cook County, Illinois; Los Angeles; and Philadelphia) are likely to be disqualified from these grants in the future if they maintain their current policies toward ICE.

These cities received more than $10 million in grants in 2016.

See the table below for a list of sanctuary jurisdictions that received Byrne/JAG grants in 2016. Sanctuary jurisdictions received $32.7 million in 2016.

It’s shocking to think that there are American cities so bent on violating the law. Sanctuary cities protect criminals from proper justice. It allows these aliens to roam free, often harming Americans who live in these cities.

So liberal mayors are hurting Americans to protect illegals. Insane. But this cut off from funding will surely force their hand.

It’s not as if politicians like losing money.
