If you’re an illegal immigrant, the sanctuary state of Maryland rolls out the red carpet for you.
In fact, the driving force behind the DREAM Act was an activist group called CASA de Maryland. The group received almost $5 million of taxpayer dollars in 2010 from Maryland and local governments, and spent most of it lobbying for illegal immigrant perks and exceptions.
Now those policies are coming back to haunt Maryland. Many residents are leaving the state because both the tax and crime rates have exploded, and the ones suffering the most are the youth.
Recently, a 14-year-old girl accused Sanchez Milan, 18, and Jose Montano, 17, of raping her in a high school bathroom.
Milan hails from El Salvador and Montano is from Guatemala. According to the Center for Immigration Studies, Milan was only in the United States because the Obama administration’s catch and release policies “allowed him to be resettled in Maryland (with the support of taxpayers), with few questions asked.”
Shockingly, the court declined to prosecute the boys over the rape, but because the boys had illicit photos of the underage girl on their phones, they were charged with another crime.
If convicted, Sanchez Milan could face a sentence of five years in prison for child porn distribution charges. The younger Montano could face up to 10 years in prison for possession and distribution of pornography.
Lawmakers in various states have been debating how to deal with the issue of teenagers sexting photos of their underage classmates.
In the lead up to filing sexual assault charges, law enforcement investigators reported the young teen said she cried out in pain and begged them to stop. A forensic investigator found blood and bodily fluids in the boys’ bathroom.
Despite the evidence, the prosecutor said the girl wasn’t raped by the illegals because the 14-year-old consented.
But according to the Maryland Age of Consent Laws, the age of consent is 16. Isn’t this the sort of victim-blaming mentality that the left claims to stand against?
The state is doing its best to sweep this messy ordeal under the rug because it proves Trump and conservatives right. Illegal immigrants are, in fact, bringing drugs, crime, and rape into the U.S. To protect illegal immigrants, our nation’s women and girls are being forced to pay the price.
Do we really want to go the way of Sweden?
Thankfully Montgomery County officials confirmed that they will honor the ICE detainer because of the child pornography distribution charges.
If the boys didn’t have those photos on their phones, they’d be walking away from this crime scot-free. It’s only a matter of time before something like this happens again in states where illegal immigrants are allowed to roam free.
