SEAL Team 6 Soldier Dies In Al-Qaida Raid…President Trump Issues Heartbreaking Statement!

Donald Trump wasted no time getting to work after his inauguration. So far, he’s checked many “firsts” off his list, such as his first cabinet appointments and executive orders.

However, inevitably, some firsts won’t be cause for celebration. Being president means being Commander in Chief, which includes the responsibility of sending American military men and women into battle. And they don’t always come home safely.

In what must have been a sobering moment, Trump had the duty of acknowledging the first soldier to make the ultimate sacrifice under his command:

“Americans are saddened this morning with news that a life of a heroic service member has been taken in our fight against the evil of radical Islamic terrorism,” he said, according to the Department of Defense. “The sacrifices made by the men and women of our armed forces and the families they leave behind are the backbone of the liberty we hold so dear as Americans, united in our pursuit of a safer nation and a freer world.

“My deepest thoughts and humblest prayers are with the family of this fallen service member,” he added. “I also pray for a quick and complete recovery for the brave service members who sustained injuries.”

The unnamed service member died during a raid in Yemen, in which 14 terrorists, including three senior al-Qaida leaders, were also killed.

As Conservative Tribune notes, Trump’s response was yet another marked contrast between his leadership style and that of his predecessor, Barack Obama:

Following the deadliest attack against U.S. forces in Afghanistan two years ago, for instance, Obama said nothing.

“There was no statement from President Obama, who is vacationing in Hawaii with his family,” CNS News reported at the time. “Obama played golf on Monday afternoon at the Mid-Pacific Country Club, after a morning workout at the Marine Corps Base Hawaii.”

Every day of Trump’s presidency has the effect of casting Obama’s two terms into high relief and the results aren’t flattering to the one-time “community organizer.” Expect the differences between the two men to look even more startling as time goes on.
