Americans concerned about their rising health insurance premiums and the sticker shock from their outrageous deductibles have been following closely the Trump campaign, who stumped on the promise of doing away with Obamacare.
Perhaps that day is dawning?
Perhaps, it’s more than a perhaps, as Trump is already sourcing out the right help.
According to Right Wing News, Trump has tapped into Dr. Ben Carson for his take on repealing and replacing Obamacare.
When Carson spoke to Politico about Trump’s win and what it means for the fate of Obamacare, he mentioned a few ways the new administration could repeal the measure.
When Carson was asked if he’d help Trump’s administration develop a replacement for the socialist health care plan, Carson said, “Yes, of course,” Right Wing News reported.
“He declined to say whether he was in line for a Cabinet role, such as Secretary of Health and Human Services, or a broader advisory role,” the blog wrote.
Either way, the fate of Obamacare is reportedly a Trump administration priority. The direction he will take it is still of interest and controversy.
Further in the Right Wing News report: “If prices are reduced and there are more options, that’s great. But if they go down the progressive path, it will only get worse. I guess we will see what is proposed. … Carson is a brilliant man and the perfect person to work on this.”
