Senate Just Made UNANIMOUS Decision To Stop Obama. This Is HUGE!

The replacement of Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia has hit another major road block.

The Senators in charge of the Judiciary Committee won’t just reject Obama’s nomination. They just announced they won’t even be hosting confirmation hearings, under any circumstance.

Any selection by the Democratic president would certainly be a left-wing supporter. It would be Obama’s last chance to maintain his legacy of radical liberal policies, as the new Justice would hold the position for the next 20 to 40 years.

As The Political Insider reports:

“We believe the American people need to decide who is going to make this appointment rather than a lame duck president,” said Majority Whip John Cornyn.

When asked if they would start the process after the new president took office or if they would consider doing it in the lame duck session, Cornyn replied “No, after the next president is selected. That way the American people have a voice in the process.”

“We believe the American people need to decide who is going to make this appointment rather than a lame duck president,” said Majority Whip John Cornyn.

It’s a refreshing act of support for the American people, but there are more pragmatic reasons to delay the appointment. As Sen. Lindsey Graham said:

“There’s no use starting a process that’s not going to go anywhere and we are going to let the next president decide.”

The selection of a Supreme Court Justice is a long and arduous process, one that could get mired in an election year.

Although this is a blow to the Obama administration, it makes sense. Any attempt to force in a nominee would come off as desperate on the exiting President’s part. Waiting for the election dust to settle is the most reasonable choice.

But it’s still months before we know who the next President will be. It may turn out the Republican’s move to block Obama was fruitless. Only time will tell.
