Election night was an unforgettable event for the country. While those of us who supported President Trump were celebrating, those who were on Team Clinton were panicking, with some even admitting themselves to psych wards.
But no one was losing their grip on reality more than Crooked Hillary, who once again failed to cross the finish line.
New revelations from those within the Clinton campaign show just how desperate the situation was, and paint a dark picture of how both Hillary and Bill conducted themselves during the election.
Unflattering aspects of the doomed candidate and her husband include their constant abuse of their staff and their refusal to accept responsibility for the campaign’s failures.
Leaked details now show that convincing Clinton to concede was a challenge that few wanted to accept, but several prominent names did so anyway.
From Independent Journal Review:
A new book — “Shattered: Inside Hillary Clinton’s Doomed Campaign” — reveals “the rest of the story” about what went on behind the scenes, that night. As recounted by The Washington Post, President Obama pressured Clinton to concede — several times.
The first call came from Obama political director, David Simas. Simas told Clinton’s campaign manager, Robby Mook, “POTUS doesn’t think it’s wise to drag this out.” — which is precisely what continued to happen.
Obama then called Clinton, reportedly saying: “You need to concede.” He delivered the same message to John Podesta, Clinton’s campaign manager, in a subsequent call.
The book goes on to reveal that Hillary Clinton apologized to Obama when she finally picked up the phone to acknowledge she had been defeated.
Obama’s advice to not drag out her concession wasn’t heeded by Clinton until the following day, when she made her puffy- eyed speech.
If anyone can understand how to handle Hillary in her post-loss state, it’s Obama. The past drama between the two when both were vying for the Democratic Party’s nomination in 2008 is the stuff of legend.
Obama campaign manager David Plouffe recalled in his book The Audacity To Win an incident in which Hillary Clinton screamed at Barack on a tarmac during the primaries, allegedly over statements some of his staff had made about her.
Multiple rumors suggest that the animosity between Obama and Clinton never truly subsided due to Clinton’s continued arrogance towards the man who bested her.
What a joy it must have been then for Obama to be the one to tell Hillary Clinton that, once again, she was a loser.
