Is Ted Cruz ‘Closest In Our Lifetimes’ To Reagan? Rush Limbaugh Thinks So [LISTEN]

Recently on his show, Rush Limbaugh made a bold (and for some shocking) claim about Ted Cruz.

He said that Cruz is the closest in our lifetimes to Ronald Reagan, the conservative icon and arguably best President of the 20th century.

The audio is below, but here’s more of what he said:

Here, let me just say something right off the bat, and I’ve said this before. I opened the program with it yesterday.

When I saw what Jeb and Kasich were doing in New Hampshire at the last minute in order to get votes, they were going left as fast as Deion Sanders can back-pedal.

They were moving left faster than anybody I’ve ever seen go left. And I opened the program yesterday saying you will never ever have to worry about that with Ted Cruz.

And then I expanded on it. Let me say one [thing]: if conservatism is your bag, if conservatism is the dominating factor in how you vote, there is no other choice for you in this campaign than Ted Cruz because you are exactly– this is the closest in our lifetimes we have ever been to Ronald Reagan.

In terms of doctrinaire, understandable, articulated, implementable conservatism, there’s nobody closer.
