Do you remember how the once mighty George Soros operation MoveOn.org got its name? This left wing protest and propaganda machine called itself “move on” after the favorite phrase of Democrats during the Bill Clinton sex scandals:
Conservatives, they told us, had to “move on” and forget all about those sordid incidents, “for the good of the country.”
Fast forward to 2016, and the American Left has forgotten all about “moving on.” They are determined to hold a rerun of the exhausting recount mess of 2000, in order to cast doubts about the legitimacy of Donald Trump’s presidency.
As the one month anniversary of this historic election approaches, these sore losers will NOT accept defeat. They are even pressuring Electoral College electors while some of those same individuals are going rogue:
A Republican presidential elector from Texas has decided to step down rather than cast his vote for Donald Trump. Art Sisneros told Politico earlier this year that he was considering voting against Trump, but decided this week to resign instead.
“If Trump is not qualified and my role, both morally and historically, as an elected official is to vote my conscience, then I can not and will not vote for Donald Trump for President,” the Texas Republican said in a blog post. “I believe voting for Trump would bring dishonor to God.”
Such so-called “faithless electors” haven’t been a problem since 1808, when six of them refused to vote for James Madison.
Is Sisneros’ defection a serious problem? No, because luckily reason has prevailed and he will simply be replaced by a pro-Trump Texas elector when they meet next month.
According to Matt Palumbo:
Despite protests, at least thirty-eight electors would need to flip their votes for their plan to work, the odds of which happening are about zero.
