Most Americans believe Iran is a dangerous nation. An outspoken opponent to Israel and the West, they have been accused of funding terrorists and depriving their people of basic human rights.
It is not a nation that can be trusted. Their aggressive rhetoric and actions, including hostage taking of Americans, cannot be tolerated by the US and our allies.
Yet we’ve had to watch in amazement as President Obama not only lowered sanctions on this villainous country, but gave it upwards of a billion dollars.
We can speculate why Obama has been so friendly to one of the worst nations in the world, but we can be sure that will all end when Trump takes the White House.
Iran already sees this and are quaking in their boots.
From Yahoo News:
Extending U.S. sanctions on Iran for 10 years would breach the Iranian nuclear agreement, Iran Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei said on Wednesday, warning that Tehran would retaliate if the sanctions are approved…
Iran and world powers concluded the nuclear agreement, also known as JCPOA, last year. It imposed curbs on Iran’s nuclear program in return for easing sanctions that have badly hurt its economy.
“The current U.S. government has breached the nuclear deal in many occasions,” Khamenei said, addressing a gathering of members of the Revolutionary Guards, according to his website.
“The latest is extension of sanctions for 10 years, that if it happens, would surely be against JCPOA, and the Islamic Republic would definitely react to it.”
How can we trust a country that’s already making threats, before the law is even passed?
Clearly this “Islamic Republic” does not have the best intentions with its nuclear power. They have always made themselves an enemy to Israel and the United States. Why would that change because we lower sanctions?
Make no mistake, Iran wants nuclear weapons. The moment they have them, they will use them against our allies and our forces abroad. Unless our government quickly reverses the agreements it passed under Obama, we could be facing dark times in the Middle East and around the world.
Iran’s rhetoric only further confirms those dangers.
