Let’s review: First they said that Donald Trump wouldn’t dare run for president.
Then they said, if he ran, he’d never get the Republican nomination.
Then, if he got the nomination, he could never beat Hillary Clinton.
Then, if he did get elected, the economy would tank, and Trump wouldn’t be able to keep his promise to bring back great jobs to American workers.
You can see where this is going:
Companies added jobs at a blistering pace in February, with a notable shift away from the service-sector positions that have dominated hiring for years, according to a report Wednesday.
Employment in the private sector surged by 298,000 for the month, with goods producers adding 106,000, ADP and Moody’s Analytics said. Construction jobs swelled by 66,000 and manufacturing added 32,000. (…)
“Confidence is playing a large role,” Mark Zandi, chief economist of Moody’s Analytics, told CNBC. “Businesses are anticipating a lot of good stuff — tax cuts, less regulation. They are hiring more aggressively.”
Note that these are all private sector positions, too, not the do-nothing, patronage-driven government jobs (for life) that normally expand during a typical Democratic presidency.
And liberal critics of Trump take note of that “notable shift away from service sector positions”: that means that, contrary to what you wish you could gloat about, these new jobs aren’t the ones leftists like to make fun of, those that pay minimum wage at fast food outlets.
Liberals look down on these “McJobs” and say they shouldn’t really “count” when Republicans talk about job creation. Well, guess what? This time they don’t!
In fact, the range of these new jobs across various sectors is a sign of a healthy, diverse economy, not one that relies on any one industry like, say, mining or manufacturing. Another great sign!
A warmer than usual February is said to be partially responsible for the jump in construction jobs, but it doesn’t account for all of it.
Of course, liberals will find a way to ignore or downplay this job boom, but for over a quarter of a million Americans, this is great news. They’ll be too busy working and supporting their families to care what a bunch of whiny leftists think.
