The White House has long been a symbol of our country’s strength and stability.
In times LONG passed, citizens were allowed to enter the building and visit the President himself, his time permitting.
Unfortunately, we no longer live in that world, as the White House (understandably) is the most heavily guarded house/office in the world.
That hasn’t stopped a flurry of fence jumpers from invading the property. One of Obama’s lasting legacies will be a train of upset protestors, who managed to jump the already tall fence to make their voices heard.
But apparently the fence isn’t tall enough, as Obama recently approved the construction of an even taller fence, to keep invaders out.
This wasn’t ignored by Donald Trump, who had this to say on Facebook:
“President Obama understands that you build strong, tall, beautiful walls to keep people out who don’t belong,” he wrote, sharing an article about the fence changes. “People who get permission can enter the White House LEGALLY!”
Wow, talk about irony. The real hilarity comes from the fact that the fence won’t be ready until 2018. A fence! That’s government ingenuity for you!
