One of the major promises Donald Trump has made is to make government smaller, more efficient, and more accountable. Now it looks like he is ready to do just that!
For years the federal workforce has been massive, entitled and often overpaid relative to workers in the private economy…all on the backs of American taxpayers.
Worse, they are nearly impossible to fire, exercise incredible power over everyday Americans, but are unaccountable for the decisions they make.
Now we are learning that Donald Trump is ready to work with congress to drain the swamp from the EPA, IRS, and every other branch of the government who has made it their life’s work to get in the way of our economy, our job creators and everyday American workers!
Roll Call has the delicious details…
For years, Republicans in Congress have been eyeing an overhaul of the federal workforce — by reducing the number of workers and curtailing benefits and pay while making it easier to fire bad employees.
Now, with a president-elect who has promised to do much the same, 2017 could be the best time in recent memory to make sweeping changes affecting those who work for the bureaucracy.
Not that President Trump needs to wait for Congress. As Roll Call points out…
If President-elect Donald Trump wants to institute a hiring freeze, as he has promised, he can do so via executive order or other actions.
For too long, federal workers and their bullying, powerful unions have taken from the American economy and stood in the way of job creation and our Constitutional rights.
Clearly, President Trump and the new congress intends to fix that!
Godspeed, Mr. President!
