The liberal pit of despair known as California has never been shy in showing its disdain for our commander-in-chief. Unable to cope with the reality that their Berkeley way of life is being rejected by the rest of the country, they’ve sought to retreat into their left-wing bubble by seceding from the United States.
The CalExit movement will be voted on in 2019, but that may not be soon enough for some residents following Trump’s latest announcement regarding dubious environmental regulations.
In 2012, the EPA and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration adopted rules requiring the nation’s car and light-truck fleet to average 54.5 miles per gallon by 2025. The EPA agreed to review the target in 2017 to determine whether it was still feasible.
The Obama administration couldn’t wait till then and rubber stamped the new fuel regulations a mere week before Trump’s inauguration.
The Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers Car manufactures protested this change by saying the EPA had failed to conduct a “robust” evaluation of the standards’ feasibility.
Trump agrees, stating at a vehicle testing facility outside Detroit Wednesday:
“We are going to ensure that any regulations we have protect and defend your jobs. We’re going to be fair.”
The hippie horde is adamantly opposed to seeing these regulations overturned and are prepared to fight the Trump administration in court.
We’ll see you there snowflakes!
