The set of Fox Business was a fiery place to be this week, thanks to host Maria Bartiromo’s tough-talk stand-off with one of the health world’s most notable faces, Obamacare architect Jonathan Gruber.
Gruber, if you recall, is the man who was captured on video mocking Americans for being too stupid to grasp the fine points of Obamacare – the points which he was helping President Obama’s administration to package and sell as a lie – and saying that the success of the health care overhaul in fact depended on that stupidity.
Now fast-forward to today’s realities of Obamacare, which include a faltering economy and a stagnant – and in some cases, recessive – business growth. Once again, Gruber didn’t want to admit the reality.
Bartiromo, however, didn’t play.
Here’s how the interview went down, as noted by Louder With Crowder: First, Bartiromo spoke of the lagging business sector, which has been dogged by no-hire policies, because of costly Obamacare repercussions.
And Gruber’s response?
“Maria, please don’t use the work ‘facts’ because you’re not saying facts,” he said, Louder With Crowder reported. “You’re saying anecdotes.”
Now make way for Bartiromo, in full glory of facts.
“I’ll tell you what is a fact. A fact is economic growth is two percent or lower and one of the reasons that economic growth is as low as it is, is because businesses are not hiring workers because of the cost of Obamacare,” she said, the news blog reported.
Ouch. Game, set, match. Lights out. Don’t let the door hit you.
“Obamacare is the worst,” Louder With Crowder concluded.
