It’s a weird time for organized sports. When Americans of all stripes should be coming together to cheer their favorite teams, they are being torn apart by controversial actions from athletes.
Maybe 2016 is just one of those years. We’ve have fighting of all kinds. So it comes as no surprise that notable athletes are creating tensions by refusing to respect America during the national anthem.
Although it’s their right to express themselves, it certainly hasn’t garnered them any praise. And the toxic influence of people like Kaepernick is spreading to others.
But it’s not all gloom. There are some athletes—regardless of age—who are showing their respect and love for America.

But not everyone shares in Kaepernick’s rhetoric. Take the women’s volleyball team at Williams Valley High School in Tower City, Pennsylvania.
As WISH-TV reports, when a glitch kept the pre-recorded national anthem from playing before their match on Saturday, the team gave their own rendition of “The Star-Spangled Banner.”
Talk about proud parents.
According to WISH-TV, everyone in attendance was proud of the team’s patriotic spirit.
At least it’s good to know that some athletes have a strong patriotic stance. Watch the video below:
