This isn’t going to come as any big surprise to Hillary Clinton watchers – but according to WikiLeaks’ revelations, the former secretary of State has just been caught in another lie.
What is it this time?
It’s true – it’s hard to keep up. But the latest has to do with her ongoing mantra about the source of the WikiLeaks revelations that have been painting her and her Democratic Party cohorts in such poor light of late. In the last of three debates against Donald Trump, Clinton claimed the Russian government hacked U.S. website to skew election results – and the big deal of the matter is she said that those hacks had been confirmed by 17 of America’s intelligence agencies.
But did Russia really? And did 17 U.S. intelligence agencies actually confirm this?
As Political Insider noted: “Instead of owning up to her massive corruption and endless schemes to take foreign donations, [Clinton] and her campaign have repeatedly blamed Russia for the hacks and claimed Russia is trying to ruin our elections. This despite having no evidence whatsoever that Russia is behind the hacks.”
Clinton, facing concerted pressure and polling disfavor from the many and frequent WikiLeaks’ dumps of late, has been trying to find an excuse for her immoral behavior that resonates with the American people. Enter Russia, stage right.
But as Zero Hedge fact-checked: “Instead of 17 agencies, only the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) have offered the public any input on this matter, claiming the DNC attacks ‘are consistent with the methods and motivations of Russian-directed efforts.’ Without offering any evidence, these two — not 17 — agencies hinted that the Kremlin could be behind the cyber attack.
Clinton’s fabrication crumbled further after a whistleblower from the National Security Agency came forward with a bit of shocking testimony to Aaron Klein on his Sunday radio show, during which he affirmed Russia was in fact not involved with the hacks.
This, from Political Insider: “During an interview on Aaron Klein’s Sunday radio program, former high-ranking NSA intelligence official-turned-whistleblower, William Binney, discussed the alleged Russian involvement in our elections, suggesting the cyber attack against the DNC may not have originated from the Russian government. Instead, Binney says, a ‘disgruntled U.S. intelligence worker’ is likely behind the breach.”
Well, isn’t that interesting. But let’s not lose sight of the real issue here.
“At the end of the day, it doesn’t even matter who hacked Hillary. The point is not that she was hacked. The point is what was revealed about her actions and corruption. Hillary’s crimes don’t magically just go away because of who revealed them,” Political Insider wrote.
