The White House has a website that allows regular citizens to create petitions. If enough people sign there names (leaving a valid email address), it will get a response from the President’s staff.
Most petitions don’t get very far, as not enough people care to sign them. But once and a while, enough people are motivated to sign one, because the issue is that important.
One such petition has been created. In little over a week, it has gained an impressive number of signatures.
Have you signed it? Chances are if you haven’t, you will.
From Daily Wire:
It’s been exactly seven days since someone posted a petition on the White House website asking that President Trump’s administration label the Antifa group a terrorist organization.
In that week, the petition has collected more than 270,000 signatures…
The process is three simple steps: Create a petition to “call on the White House to take action on the issue that matters to you”; Gather signatures “for the change you want to make”; and if you collect 100,000 signatures in 30 days, you get “an official update from the White House within 60 days.”
So, with more than double the signatures needed, will the petition creator get an update in 30 days?
The petition was created on August 17 after the radical, left-wing organization caused violence in Charlottesville, VA, leading to numerous injuries. While President Trump has not named the group outright, he has called out violent “alt-left” protesters.
“What about the alt-left that came charging at, as you say, at the alt-right? Do they have any semblance of guilt?” Trump said to reporters Tuesday. “What about the fact that they came charging with clubs in their hands, swinging clubs? Do they have any problem? I think they do. That was a horrible, horrible day.”
It’s high time Anti-fa, this radical hate group, was acknowledge for what it is: terrorism.
Over the last year they have attacked peaceful demonstrations, mostly Trump-supporting events. They burned Berkeley over a free speech event. They even destroyed property during the Inauguration.
Yet people claim they are decent Americans? This is a group of masked cowards. Most of them are college-aged brats, who are supported by their parents. They’d rather endanger the lives of real Americans, than get an education, job, or support themselves.
They are a pathetic blight and embarrassment to our country. And it’s time they are called out as terrorists.
Clearly many Americans agree and have signed the petition. They have reached the threshold where it cannot be ignored, but how much bigger of a statement will be made if millions of Americans sign it?
If you feel the same, be sure to add your name – click here now! America must take a stand against this kind of irrational hatred.
