Contrary to what Democrats would have you believe, laws are put in place for a reason.
When President Trump stated he would begin the hard work of addressing the problems at our border, he wasn’t just blowing smoke. ICE raids are up nationwide, and sanctuary cities are being put on notice that they’re on their way to being defunded.
The Washington Post, a known liberal mouthpiece, claims in a new article that this strategy is purely “fear.” The article seems to be forgetting that one should be afraid to break a country’s rules. That’s kind of the whole point.
Democrats may call Trump’s governing tactics “fear” based, but Republicans merely call it enforcing the law of the land.
And according to the latest numbers, Trump’s strategy is working.
From The Washington Post:
The most vivid evidence that Trump’s tactics have had an effect has come at the southern border with Mexico, where the number of apprehensions made by Customs and Border Patrol agents plummeted from more than 40,000 per month at the end of 2016 to just 12,193 in March, according to federal data.
These decreased border crossings are proof that the pen is mightier than the sword. Before the wall has even been constructed, the knowledge that Trump will respect immigration laws has forced would-be illegals to question the risks of coming here illegally.
With less illegal immigrants breaking into our country and undermining our authority, the nation is more safe, and the labor supply can stop expanding to the point that Americans lose their jobs.
Trump has put the world on notice that we are not a land without consequences anymore.
Illegal aliens are finally getting the message. They’re going home or staying home to make their own countries great again.
