Did you hear about Donald Trump’s speech at the new National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington, D.C.?
No? That must mean it went well.
You just know the media and all the other Trump haters were looking forward to this event because they hoped Trump would say something offensive or embarrassing. Since that didn’t happen, they did the next best thing and just ignored it completely.
Donald Trump is always being called a “racist” even though there isn’t any evidence of this. He has many visible African-American fans and garnered a healthy slice of the African-American vote for a Republican presidential candidate.
He has also promised to prioritize America’s inner cities, which are disintegrating due to drugs and other crimes.
Charlie Spiering reports for Breitbart:
“Today and every day of my presidency, I pledge to do everything I can to continue that promise of freedom for African Americans and for every American,” Trump said to reporters during the tour on Tuesday. “So important. Nothing more important.”
“I’m deeply proud that we now have a museum that honours the millions of African American men and women who built our national heritage, especially when it comes to faith, culture and the unbreakable American spirit,” he said.
Trump toured the museum with Dr. Ben Carson and his family, South Carolina Senator Tim Scott, and Alveda King — Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s niece.
Dr. Ben Carson still faces confirmation as Trump’s pick to head up the Department of Housing and Urban Development. On Tuesday, Trump vowed that in his powerful new role, Carson would “do things that nobody ever thought of.”
Indeed, race hustlers like Al Sharpton have held the reins of this agenda for too long, and the results speak for themselves.
Carson will bring a philosophy of personal responsibility and hard work to an agency more accustomed to throwing money at bloated ineffective programs.
