In recent years, Americans have had no escape from the left’s radical political agenda. Leftists have invaded every corner of our culture, including professional sports. Basketball, football, and even baseball have been polluted with progressive messages.

But one sport people assumed would be free from such limp-wristed garbage was NASCAR. The racing sport has long been the favorite pastime of patriotic, conservative Americans. Surely, it wouldn’t fall prey to the left’s woke nonsense? Wrong.

NASCAR is quickly becoming the leader in woke sports messaging. And they really took the cake this Christmas season.

This weekend, NASCAR took to Twitter a week before the eve of the birth of Christ – a holiday known as Christmas! – and wished their fans “Happy Holidays.” The saying used by all of those who want to say something to address the Christmas holiday without actually saying, “Merry Christmas.”

In addition to the “Happy Holidays” thing, what’s up with ‘To all those celebrating this month?” That’s an extremely awkward way to begin a “Happy Holidays” message. The NASCAR fan base, an overwhelmingly Christian and conservative fan base, reacted as well as you might expect to NASCAR’s attempt at inclusivity.

Yikes. It seems NASCAR, a sport almost exclusively followed by conservatives, went woke this Christmas to post a cheesy, creatively bland message with the words “Happy Holidays.” There was nothing remotely Christmas about the post. They even wrote, “to those celebrating this month.”

They couldn’t even bring themselves to say Christmas in the tweet. They didn’t even show a stock car in the post! As you can imagine, people were not pleased.

Numerous followers blasted NASCAR online, reminding them that the majority of its fans celebrate “CHRISTmas.” One fan, calling themselves a Muslim, rebuked NASCAR for ignoring Christmas. Others slammed NASCAR’s Twitter account, assuming it was being run by liberals.

The term “Happy Holidays” has become associated with the so-called “War on Christmas.” Originally, it was just a blanket term to acknowledge Christmas, Hannukah, and Kwanza. But in recent years, people have seen it as a way of erasing America’s religious heritage, especially the Christian roots of Christmas.

Americans have become very irritated when companies use whitewashed terms like “Happy Holidays” instead of simply, “Merry Christmas.” Aside from radical woke liberals, few Americans are offended by the phrase “Merry Christmas,” which has been used by Americans since the start of the nation.

But this is just a sad reminder that the once patriotic NASCAR is now yet another woke cesspool.
