What’s Happening:
We knew it was too good to be true. Congress rushed through a bill to address the semiconductor shortage hurting all industries.
But the $50 billion that was supposed to help companies build chip factories will be going to “underrepresented” groups.
Meaning, that Biden will be prioritizing companies based on race and gender.
From Daily Caller:
The Commerce Department announced plans to prioritize “underrepresented” business owners, including women and racial minorities, when distributing $50 billion in federal funding for the semiconductor industry provided by the recent CHIPS act.
Never let it be said that Biden can’t ruin a good thing.
Congress passed a bill that would help companies build semiconductor factories in the U.S. This was to address a chip shortage that is hurting tech, automotive, and other companies.
But instead of allocating this money to the best companies, Biden will be using it to push his woke agenda.
The Commerce Department will evaluate companies based on race and gender. Meaning, that they will be judging people based on their skin color and biology.
Um… isn’t that a little bit… bigoted?
Biden tried to do this last year when he was only going to help minority farmers (leaving the vast majority of American farmers in the lurch).
He was taken to court and lost over that discrimination.
What do you think is going to happen over this?
There are probably a few minority- or female-owned chip companies. But not that many. And when you consider many of them are owned by companies overseas, the issue becomes even more complicated.
Biden thinks he can use this money as a way to win some credit with the progressive left. Instead, he might be once again violating federal law.
This bill could have been a bipartisan win for Americans and American industry. Instead, it is yet another testament to Biden’s corrupt agenda.
Let’s hope the lawsuits come at him fast and fierce.
Key Takeaways:
- Biden will prioritize “underrepresented” business owners with his $50 billion chip funding.
- This funding was supposed to go to chip makers to address the semiconductor shortage.
- Biden previously tried to discriminate against white farmers and was taken to court.
