BLM Leader Crashes Pro-Trump Rally. No One Expected What Happened Next.

Time and again we are discovering that all American people, while having differences, really want the same thing.

More often than not, it is the media and politicians who want to divide us. They cast us as enemies, because it benefits them.

But even groups that couldn’t be more unalike often learn they have much in common. We discovered this when a pro-Trump rally in D.C. crossed paths with Black Lives Matter. Prepare for your jaw to drop.

From Daily Wire:

The clash between a Black Lives Matter group and a pro-Trump rally in D.C. over the weekend went a direction that no one on either side saw coming. In a rather remarkable moment highlighted by Now This, the leader of the BLM group was unexpectedly invited to take the stage at the pro-Trump/pro-free speech rally and given the floor for a few minutes.

“I’m going to let Black Lives Matter come up here while I show them what patriotism is all about, all right?” he announced.

Hank Newsome, leader of Black Lives Matter New York, took the stage, while another organizer announced on the mic that he was going to give the protest group a chance to give their message…

“I am an American,” the BLM leader began. “And the beauty of America is that when you see something broke in your country, you can mobilize to fix it.”

The statement was met with some cheers from the crowd…

“We are anti-bad cop!” Newsome said. “We say if a cop is bad, he needs to get fired like a bad plumber, like a bad lawyer, like a bad f**king politician!”

A bunch of the people in the audience cheered and clapped at that line.

“We don’t want handouts, we don’t want anything that is yours,” he continued. “We want our God-given right to freedom, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness!”

That line earned loud cheers and applause. Responding to some in the crowd calling “All Lives Matter!” Newsome agreed.

Now this is something that you won’t see on CNN! The pro-Trumpers could have easily ignored the BLM protesters. They could have just gone on with their event. The Black Lives Matter members could have just made some noise and went on their way.

But for the organizer to welcome the BLM leader on stage, and for the leader to share his views openly and honestly, shows something very important about our country.

We may not agree on politics and certain issues, but when we are willing to listen to each other and show respect, we learn that we have a lot in common.

It’s only the media and many corrupt politicians who want us divided. They thrive when the American people are focused on “neo-Nazis” and statues, rather than what they are doing in Congress or state assemblies.

We need to once again find a way to unite and stand together, regardless of our differences. Maybe this is the start.
