Hillary Clinton has announced her running mate, which is a total snoozefest, but first let’s talk about how dishonorable she is for deciding to announce when she did.
If you will remember, last Friday Donald Trump had prepared to announce Mike Pence as his VP, but the terrorist attack in Nice, France happened and he graciously waited until the next day so that people could absorb the horrible tragedy and mourn for the lost. He set the perfect example if a situation like this ever came Hillary’s way.
She paid no attention. Maybe it is because she has no shred of dignity in her. Everything is about political calculation. Well at least 10 are dead in Munich, Germany, with the terrorist crying out, “Allahu Akbar,” and her plans of the day can’t be changed. Sickening. From the New York Times, here is her pick:
Mrs. Clinton’s choice, which she announced via text message to supporters, came after her advisers spent months poring over potential vice-presidential candidates who could lift the Democratic ticket in an unpredictable race against Mr. Trump.
Mrs. Clinton had entertained more daring choices. She considered Thomas E. Perez, the secretary of labor, who would have been the first Hispanic on a major party ticket; Senator Cory Booker, of New Jersey, who would have been the first African-American to seek the vice presidency; and Adm. James G. Stavridis, a retired four-star Navy admiral who served as the supreme allied commander at NATO, but had never held elected office.
In the end she settled on someone boring, liberal, and corrupt—just like her.
Asked whether Mr. Kaine was boring, Mrs. Clinton said “I love that about him.” She added, “He’s never lost an election.”
The race has shaped up. At this point it’s not even a contest. Only one ticket has an honorable, qualified candidate.
