Fox News personality Megyn Kelly may have seen a bit of the gold rubbed off her star in the hours since she went head-to-head with Newt Gingrich about which candidate deserved more sex-talked coverage, Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton.
The televised rumble, in case you haven’t heard, started when Kelly insisted Gingrich address Trump’s sexual past – specifically telling the former House speaker that if Trump was a “sexual predator” then voters ought to know.
Gingrich took umbrage with that phrase, particularly since Trump’s not been found guilty of anything along those lines, and accused Kelly of bias, of ignoring the elephant in the room with Bill Clinton’s sexual past and Hillary Clinton’s alleged covering of it, and of being “fascinated with sex,” Right Wing News reported.
Gingrich specifically told Kelly he wanted her to “say the words sexual predator” in reference to Clinton, as she did to Trump. And Kelly’s response?
Only that her show, the Kelly File, has covered Clinton in the past and reported previously on the sexual allegations that have plagued him.
The fireworks didn’t end with the segment, however.
Juanita Broaddrick, who claims Clinton raped her in 1978, blasted post-show a Twitter message that cuts to the chase about thoughts on Kelly’s performance.
“Beauty is only skin deep,” Broaddrick tweeted. “Megyn Kelly is ugly as hell on the inside.”
Another outraged viewer expressed similar anger at Kelly on Twitter.
DeplorableSnarkyKat tweeted: “Appears @megynkelly is putting ego before a career & country. Megyn Kelly is a journalist like Charlie Manson is a humanitarian. #Newt.”
