Trump’s campaign mantra of “Make America Great Again” angered liberals to the core. His immigration crack-down plans, views of TPP and intended dismantling of Obamacare didn’t really go over well with the Democratic Party, either.
Then, Donald Trump won the election, and we know how happy they were about that. Now we have this: his newest first 100-day game plan.
And this one is really ratcheting tensions on the left.
“He’s doing something that scares liberals to death,” the Proud Conservative reported. “Trump is asking Americans what they want him to address first in his first 100 days as president.”
Trump’s making a whole campaign out of soliciting the feedback, sending out an email to supporters and reminding them bluntly that he didn’t seek the White House for the notoriety – or paycheck.
“The election may be over,” the email reads, Proud Conservative reported, “but our work is just getting started. As I’ve said so many times before, I will not be able to do it alone. I’ll need you to step up and play an active role in fixing our country and enacting our platform for America.”
Trump asked readers to take his “100-Day Plan of Action Survey,” so he can sift through Americans’ top goals and decide which need immediate tackling and which can wait.
Among the list:
Build a wall.
Repeal and replace Obamacare.
Appoint a Supreme Court nominee with a strong constructionist view of the Constitution.
Give the OK to the Keystone Pipeline.
Create a legislative path to infrastructure improvements.
Reform taxes to give relief to the middle class.
Withdraw from the TPP – renegotiate NAFTA.
Start the constitutional amendment process for term limits for congressional members.
Lift restrictions on energy development which have been halted by environmentalists and leftists.
Those are just the first ten. The list includes 29 items – all of which promise a dramatic switch of President Obama’s eight years. No wonder liberals are incensed.
